Summary
In summary, throughout our media course, we have used many software programmes and facilities to help create the best work we can to help show off our trailer and website. For the actual trailer we used a software programme called Final Cut Pro in order for us to create our professional looking final piece.

Final cut pro
To edit all of our work, we used an editing software called Final Cut Pro, a software created by Apple. These videos consist of our trailer, our audience interviews, and any screencasts that we needed to do and then edit. Final cut pro allows users to edit their work to a professional standard and level and give off a proper efficient and finished work piece. Final cut pro is an easy tool to use as it contains many options and settings that the user can mess around with to discover new ways to incorporate it into their work. During the creation of our trailer and other videos we utilised a variety of tools available for our usage in Final Cut Pro X. Before we could edit our trailer, we needed to import and archive our footage.
Whilst editing our trailer we were able to get non diegetic audio from sources such as youtube and a few other audio sites we found which enabled us to add sound on top of our original pice in order to get the full effectiveness of the horror trailer, that we were aiming for. To do this we used a converter in order to download the audio contents of a video as an MP3 audio file which we could later import into Final Cut Pro for further editing and improvements.
To give off a professional look and feel to the trailer that we thought most people would enjoy to see, we used a tool called stabilisation feature. This allows any unsteady clips to steady up and not be shaky. This is a very helpful tool that allowed our group to create our trailer with a professional and eye catching piece.
Using the combination of tools available in Final Cut Pro has allowed us to produce a professional looking media product which we would not have been able to create without the power of Final Cut.
Weebly
Weebly is a site online that allows people to create and make a professional website that allows the public to view it as if it was a normal website. Over the course of the 2 years of doing media, our group used weebly to create 2 weebly website pages. This year we created a website showing and explaining everything we did in order to create out trailer, why we used certain features and how we actually created it. The website explains it all. Much of the websites features allow you to construct a website using their built in functions for free. However if you would like to improve your website even further there is an option to to upgrade weebly to weebly premium. This allows for more tools and features that will overall your website drastically and create a legitimate website that people would be proud of. These allow you to add text, images, videos, maps, newsletters and many other types of media. Also on the free version of weebly you are limited to a maximum of only 15 pages, but that doesn't matter in the fact that you can still create a masterpiece of a website. However if you want to improve your website that slight bit more, weebly premium is the way to go.
The first thing our group had to do was create a group account that all of us can access easily in order for us to edit and improve our website. After we created it there was a pagfe that was presented to us showing our analytics and our weekly and uniquely visitors to our website. This is a handy feature to see how many people are actually seeing it, and the fact that we know people can actually view our developing website.
After that, we were able to chose an overall theme and style for our website to be based around. We chose a simplistic theme that we thought we could definitely build our website around and so we did. Every time we got onto our website we were able to use the tools and features to improve it bit my bit.
Eventually we were able to create our website, Condemned Productions that looked and functioned in a professional manner that people can still view and are able to use the features we added to search through our website under certain headings. Moreover, the use of weebly has allowed us to create a variety of multimedia to add to our website, including our created trailer, poster and magazine.

WEEBLY (SCREENCAST)
As you can see, its very simple to use the tools and features on weebly, as this screencast shows. You can see how quickly it took to obtain a youtube video and put it on our website.
PhotoshopPhotoshop is an photo editing software where you have various options to change and alter the way a photo or an image looks like. It can change the entire look of a photo through various tools and features that we were able to use. Using photoshop we able to create two very professional finished piece. One being our horror poster and the other being our horror magazine. We created them to give off an appealing look and also professional and it also we made it look like a professional advertisement for our horror trailer. The use of photoshop allowed our poster and magazine cover to not only look professional but eye catching as well.
To create our poster we set the dimension and page size to A3. This allowed for a professional film size. This ensured that we would meet the industry standard for film posters and that we also had enough space to add content and manipulate our photo without reducing the quality of it and limiting the potential of it being used as an advertisement. We then essentially did the same to our horror magazine, although we set our page size to A4 so it was able
To start things off we took an iconic image of our victim that we wanted to base the poster and magazine around. So after we took our iconic image we imported it onto the blank canvas where we could then start editing and and manipulating the image to suit our standards.

This is the start of our magazine. As you can see we have created a sliced up and scratched steel material as our main background. We have chosen this because it gives off that horror style/ slasher vibe.
We then added the smaller text around the edge of the main image, followed by our trailer name and tagline. This is what we were aiming for as we wanted to give of that professional looking feel to it.
After those other layers were aded we had to add the title of the magazine, then added the barcode, price, date and other small details. This way our final, finished magazine looks very professional and eye catching that will appeal to our target audience.

After adding our background we took our chosen image of our victim/ main antagonist putting on a latex glove. We chose this action shot as it looks more professional than a bland standing image.
Followed by that, we then added our main title. In this case it was 'Defaced'. We made it grey and fairly dark to give off that eerie feel for the audience to experience. We also made the text big because we also want it to stand out as it's one of the most important parts of the magazine.
