popular taglines
The Nightmare on elm street tagline works well. It works well because it is very catchy, this tagline is '1,2, Freddy's coming for you'. This tagline fits well with the plot of the film because it suggests that the killer, Freddy, isn't just choosing a random victim but he is targeting a specific person.
This isn't the most popular tagline though, the most popular tagline for this film is 'If Nancy doesn't wake up screaming she won't wake up at all'. This tagline is suggesting that one of the main characters within the film, will die if she doesn't wake up from her nightmare. |
Another popular tagline is Happy Death Day. This tagline is good because it also very briefly explains the plot of the film but without revealing too much about the film. The tagline is 'get up live your day. Get killed. Again.' We could use a tagline which uses the same idea as this is tagline. If we use a tagline which can briefly explain the film it may be more appealing to more people.

Our tagline
In our productions we used a couple of different taglines. One of these for example is 'Do you make the cut?' this directly relates to our film as our film is about surgery and so a tagline which is relates directly to our plot would make sense. However, this isn't the only tagline which we have used. We also used another one on our poster which was 'You're in safe hands'. This tagline for us was a bit of a twist as we know that people who are seeking surgery off our killer, would not be in safe hands as they are tortured and killed.
We had a lot of taglines before we finally brought it down to these two. As a group we thought that these would of been the best choices for what our trailer was.
